VEERA Microservices Architecture
Why VEERA is built as a set of small, independent services, and what that means for the products built on it.
VEERA Microservices
VEERA is built as a set of small, independent, loosely coupled services instead of one large application.
Each VEERA service:
- Implements one clear business capability, such as users, payments, notifications or bookings.
- Can be developed, tested, deployed and scaled on its own.
- Usually owns its own data store.
- Talks to other services through APIs or event-driven messaging.
VEERA Main Components
Services
Independent business units, such as identity, payments or notifications.
API Gateway
One entry point for clients that handles routing, authentication, rate limiting and aggregation.
Service Discovery
Lets services find each other automatically as they scale.
Messaging & Event Bus
Asynchronous, event-driven communication between services.
Database per Service
Each service keeps its own data, which reduces coupling between services.
Configuration Management
Central management of every service's settings.
Observability
Central logging, monitoring and tracing of requests across services.
Containers & Orchestration
Package and run services consistently, and manage their whole lifecycle.
CI/CD Pipeline
Automated, independent delivery of each service.
Resilience Patterns
Retries, timeouts and circuit breakers that keep a failure contained.
VEERA Main Benefits
Independent development and deployment
Teams work on different services in parallel and deploy without affecting the whole system.
Targeted scalability
Scale only the services under heavy load, not the entire application.
Technology flexibility
Each service can use the language, framework or database that suits it best.
Fault isolation
A failure in one service does not take the whole system down.
Easier maintenance and evolution
Changing or rewriting a small part is faster and carries less risk.
Built for many teams and domains
Exactly what a multi-industry platform for finance, insurance and travel needs.
Why VEERA is built on microservices
Six reasons microservices are the foundation of VEERA.
- Complexity and pace of change
- Platforms that serve several industries grow fast. A monolith quickly becomes a large block that is hard to change.
- Scalability and availability
- Services such as payments or notifications carry very different loads. Scaling each one independently is vital.
- Many teams, clear ownership
- When several teams build one product, each team can fully own a service.
- Time to market
- New capabilities ship faster and with less risk.
- Resilience and reliability
- In critical systems for finance, insurance and travel, a small bug cannot be allowed to bring everything down.
- Ready for future growth
- As a platform grows from one industry to many, shared services are built once and industry-specific services are added separately.
In short
VEERA splits large systems into small, independent services that are easy to manage. Its core components are the services themselves, an API gateway, messaging, observability and container infrastructure. The result is independence, targeted scalability and fault isolation for every product built on it, across finance, insurance and travel.
